The resort, which was renovated in 2005, has 40 Superior rooms, 7 Deluxe rooms, 3 Premier rooms and suites housed in 2 Premier beach fronts. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with 24-hour reception, a safe, currency exchange facility, cloakroom and lift access. A games room, bicycle hire service, as well as shopping, bar and dining facilities also feature. Internet access and parking facilities for guests arriving by car are also available. Indoor and outdoor meeting and conference facilities capable of accommodating up to 50 persons are available for business meetings, as well as small incentive groups looking for that special and informal themed setting for their events.
Location
Situated above Layan Beach, in a hillside location overlooking a stretch of pristine private beach on northwestern coast of Phuket Island, the resort offers easy access to Phuket International Airport, Patong beach and Phuket town. It is some 15 minutes from the airport, while Patong Beach and Phuket town are about 30 minutes away.

Room description
The spacious rooms and deluxe villas have a minimum of 40 m². Rooms feature predominantly timber and bamboo Thai-style design. This lends the whole thing a very natural feeling, like living in the jungle but with all the comforts and modern conveniences that can be expected from an esteemed, top-flight hotel. En suite bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, minibar, mini-fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, double bed, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe and either a private balcony or terrace also feature as standard.
Sports and entertainment
Guests looking for relaxation and healthier living will find their most secret wishes catered for in Layana Spa, which, aside from the standard treatments, also offers new activities such as saltwater therapy, full moon meditation and yoga classes. It also features the only warm water therapy pool on the island (subject to fees). A sauna and solarium feature (both subject to fees). Diving, canoeing, horse riding, biking and golf are offered (all subject to fees). Table tennis, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball and badminton are also offered. There is an activities programme offered for both adults and children daily. There are also special outdoor open-air fitness facilities for those who love the fresh air and like to get into shape in natural surroundings. There is an outdoor pool which comes with sun loungers (subject to fees). Banyan Tree Golf Course is also in the vicinity of the hotel.
