This modern, fully air-conditioned 10-storey hotel comprises a total of 211 rooms. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk, a safe and lifts. In addition, the hotel features a jeweller's, several shops, a hairdresser's salon, a bar and 4 restaurants (including Waves buffet restaurant, 2 speciality restaurants, a lobby lounge bar) with non-smoking areas. In addition, several conference rooms, a business centre with Internet access, a public Internet terminal (for an additional fee) as well as car park and garage facilities for those arriving by car. Children aged between 3 and 12 years of age many take part in the Penguin Club activities
Location
This exclusive hotel is located approximately 700 m from the hotel's private beach where guests will be enchanted by the fabulously clear turquoise-blue waters of the Arabic gulf. The Hard Rock Café and the Emirates Golf Club are located nearby. It is some 25 km to the international airport, lying around 20 minutes drive away.
How to get there
From Sheikh Zayed motorway follow the signs towards Abu Dhabi-Jebel Ali. Take exit 32 /Al Suffouh. Follow the signs to Al Mina Al Seyahi. The hotel is located on the grounds of Dubai International Marine Club.
Room description
The exclusive rooms each come with an en suite bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, satellite/ cable TV, a hi-fi stereo system, a minibar, carpeting, centrally controlled air conditioning and a hire safe. The double rooms in the Royal Club additionally feature a balcony offering views out over the sea, a stereo system and a separate shower. There is also a lounge in each and a separate check in/out service on offer to those staying in these rooms, non-alcoholic drinks are on offer and, during the happy hour each evening, snacks and alcoholic drinks are also available.
Sports and entertainment
There is a pleasant sun terrace and a sunbathing lawn on offer in the beautiful outdoor area as well as three heated swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, two separate children's pools and a poolside snack bar. Bath towels are available for use and sun loungers and parasols have been laid out ready for guests (inclusive). Moreover, it is possible to take advantage of the massage service on payment of an additional fee and various sports are on offer on the beach including windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing and banana boating. Other activities available on payment of an additional fee include water skiing, boat trips, lessons at the dive school (PADI) and deep-sea fishing. Sports enthusiasts may play tennis on one of the hotel's hard floodlit courts, play pétanque or beach volleyball, participate in an aerobics session or work out in the hotel gym. The nearby Emirates Golf Club (approximately 3 km) provides the opportunity for some relaxed golfing. A seasonal entertainment programme for guests both young and old rounds off the offerings.
